LET'S GET PHYSICAL, THE BOOK
this book was made as part of my masters project and it was produced to compile together the series of photographic experiments entitled 'strange meetings'.
in 'strange meetings' folds were worked direct in the source of the images, deforming bodys and situations, creating a very physical aesthetic in the heart of the photographic medium, folding negatives and light sensitive paper, combining layers of them, in what i like to call experiments, because hundreds of tests were produced.
the image production worked with unpredictability and had chance as an ally, accepting what was being produced, even if the result was unusual for fashion imagery and the concepts of beauty.
the experiments started in parallel to the research on the english group 'independent group' and their working methods, but specially reviewing the works of one of its members: nigel henderson.
